Enhancing cardiac cell therapy and tissue engineering by magnetic clustering?
The transplantation of pluripotent stem cell derived cardiac cells holds great promise in regenerative medicine. One remaining obstacle is the low rate of cell engraftment. Magnetic targeting was proposed as a potential solution but did not meet the expectations yet.
In this Labinar, we discuss magnetic targeting of transplanted cells and show a novel strategy of magnetically forced cell aggregation. Additionally, we will showcase the use of diseased hiPSC-CMs in the development of a personalized cardiac risk assessment strategy, spanning from 2D cultures to 3D organoid models.
