innoVation Series – Research Article of the Month – January 2021

The publication of Heiko Lemcke et al., 2020 made it to our very first “innovation series” research article of the month, due to it’s focus on a very interesting and different approach to evaluate iPSC cardiomyocyte maturation!

Learn more about how you can use a super resolution-based approach to quantitatively evaluate the structural maturation of iPSC-derived cardiomyocytes. Using photoactivated localization microscopy (PALM), sarcomere lengh and z-disc thicknesses of fluorescence labelled iPSC-derived cardiomyocytes were analyzed and compared to neonatal cardiomyocytes.

We think it’s a great tool to evaluate cardiomyocyte maturation – what do you think?
